BLOOD ON THE SNOW / Pics
« on: February 09, 2010, 09:07:00 AM »
There is just something special about hunting in the snow.

18 yard shot - straight through the heart.

A complete pass through the hog into the snow. Cutting one rib on entrance and another one on the exit.

Down after 13 yards.

ARROW: Footed Carbon Express/Heritage 250
Broadhead:G5 Striker/125 gr
Total arrow weight: 550 gr.

BOW: Black Douglas TD
         Amo: 58
         Lbs: 58 (on the fingers)

Here it comes ...

18 yard shot - straight through the heart ...

Down after 13 yards ...

It is done ...

This shows the angle of arrow zipping through ...

Nice!  Now you're going and getting me all worked up over the sanglier!  I'll be chasing these guys in France either end of this year or early next - I hope I do as well as you did.

Really cool pictures and the snow just adds bonuses. Thanks for sharing.

What is the deer antler on your bow tied to and does it have a purpose other than decoration? I've not seen that before.
