Super Kodiak strings.
« on: February 10, 2010, 03:34:00 PM »
Does anyone know what type of string material the newer Bear bows are supplied with?  My manual just says "Fastflight" with no mention of what type. Tried to count the strands & it appears to be maybe 14.  I'm new to this & would like to try some different strings.  How do you guys think an 8-10 strand D97 would work?  Bow pulls 55#.  Would I see any difference in performance, in your opinions?  Also, I think mine is an endless loop; should I stay with this or go Flemish?  Thanks for the help.

If your bows says it is FF capable you can use any type FF or low stretch string you would like.I have beeen shooting D97 8 strand up to 60# bows.I like to make flemish twist and pad the loops on an 8 strand.

The new Bear bows really like D-97.
