Quiver for roving

What type of quiver do you use for roving ( stump shooting). Is it the same as you use for hunting or is it different. Please write advantages or disadvantages of different type?

I use the Arrowmaster for everything, hunting, stumping and at the range!

I made a roving quiver from a shipping tube. Works great for roving but way too loud for hunting.

Contact Rod Jenkins and get his Arrowmaster quiver. I have never heard a bad thing about his quivers and i plan on getting one as soon as im able.

For hunting I use only Jack Bowers side quivers, for roving I like a back quiver..PR

Safari Tuff Arrowmaster or Duiker - got both.  I like the way these side quivers hang, the large capacity of arrows they hold, and how they protect the fletching.  

Back quivers look totally cool, but just don't function for me as well as a *good* side quiver.

Aaaa, it's all subjective stuff and the only way you'll what you'll like best is to give quiver styles a good testing.

When stumping I generally carry 3 of my bomb proof arrows.  I made a pocket quiver from an old cell phone holster.  I got a piece of foam rubber that fits inside the cell phone holster.

My arrow tips slide in between the foam rubber and the side of the case.  They are snug enough that you cant shake them out.  Just slip the holster into your pocket and go.

I use the same thing when shooting 3d courses too.

I use a side stalker style for target, roving and 3D and a GFA style for hunting. Never liked a back quiver! Liked a bow quiver on glass bows but not on selfbows and I never shoot glass bows anymore.

I just dont or cant get used to any style quiver for long & have about tried them all. Thinking of ust going back to a strap on quiver & just dealing with it?  Mike

I use a Lakota quiver for everything.  Mine is made of buffalo hide with an extra thick bottom for broadheads.  The Norwegian Blue Fox head covers a pocket underneath.  There are a set of "D-rings" that make the strap easily adjustable.  I normally wear it slung under my left arm, I'm a lefty, but can shorten the strap and wear it as a back quiver.

How do you put judo's and rubber blunts into plains Quiver.
I have plains quiver like yours, but i have problems with arrows felling out. Did I have wrong sling placement on quiver?

I use my Jack Bowers quivers for everything pretty much. Sometimes a bow quiver for hunting.

My quiver is made from leather thick enough that it holds itself open a little.  I can slide blunts in like any other arrow.  I don't use the big rubber tip kind so I don't know how hard they would be to insert.

As for arrows sliding out,I wear mine with the opening forward but tilted up quite a bit.  If I need to bend over I tilt it up a little more.  I've done that so long that I don't think about it.

i have bow quivers and a back quiver, don't really like any of them. Just bought a new moose hide GFA, i hope i will like it better.

i use a Hill style  back quiver for pretty much everything . i stump shoot all the time and wouldn't use any other quiver . i have numerous quivers ,  Bower style side quivers [ great for when hunting with a back pack ] bow quivers which i don't like anymore ... never really did... and Cat quivers for hunting in inclement weather  .
but for me roving involves a freedom of choice as to when and what targets are about to get whacked ... this calls for a lotta arrows !!! and in my Hill style back quiver i can pack it full of the necessary arrows [ stumpers /throwaways/rock shooters and a few broadheads both sharpened and dulled etc ] and with a small over the shoulder haversack over the other shoulder i'm ready for pretty much anything i'm likely to encounter during ny day afield ... from rotten stumps 200 yards away to small game and even deer .

Stumping = Side Stalker quiver (works well for Judo points and blunt type points).
Indoor league and 3D = Rear facing hip quiver, made by Tom Petty.  (convenient pocket for gear)
Hunting = G Fred Asbell quiver (quiet and easy to hunt with).
Love them all!

back quiver for stump shooting and a side quiver for hunting holds my broadheads better in place!!

I prefer to keep everything the same year round. Helps me with my confidence. So, my Great Northern Bow Quiver never comes off no matter what I'm doing in the woods.
