Just Finished A Longbow Project
« on: February 11, 2010, 06:07:00 PM »
This is my latest longbow build. It's 62" with mild deflex/reflex. Turned out 52# @ 28". I used black glass on the front and clear glass with flat grain red elm on the belly side. East Indian Rosewood riser with 9/16" of phenolic stripes for added strength. I wanted to make it center shot therefore the extra phenolic. Elk antler for the tips. The lams are made from some bamboo flooring I have. 2 parallel and one .002 taper. The red elm veneer is .024.

Al, I got a chance to shoot it some before I put the finish on and all this darn snow came. Not to brag on it but I do really like the way it shoots.
