it's not a feral hog, there are no feral hog in France exept in the island of Corsica

we just have natural wild boar "sus scrofa", what you call i think "russian boar",they have 36 chromosomes and the feral hog 38 like the pigs
Wild board, When they are very young and still dependent to the "mother" they are completly striped and very small, after that when they are growing after 6 month they become "brown-redish" we call that "bete rousse" that mean "red hair beast" after this step they become black when grey hair when they are very old. You don(t shoot the stiped one but when they are "red hair beast" you can and it's a good thing because like that you preserve your wild game capital
