Out stumping.
« on: February 15, 2010, 02:27:00 AM »
Was a nice day so I went out chassing the wiely ground squirrels. Hard to get little targets.Lots of crawling and waiting for them to pop up. Killed this stick.

Made a stock on a jack rabbit was going to get a before and after picture but all I got was the before picture,he's just right of the center tree making his escape.

Heres a squirrel bunker I got him but he fell into his hole with my arrow was all the way in the hole , had to reach almost my whole arm in to get the arrow .

And one of the ones I did manage to get.Lots of shooting ,lots of misses most are long shots 30 yards or so. Smart little varmints.

You can hop but you can't hide.
If it was not for rabbits I would never get a buck.

Dang! It sure was nice to see what green grass looks like. Thank you for sharing your nice weather with us. I could almost feel the warmth of the sunshine radiating off the page.

We have negative windchill temps outside right now and it's supposed to turn cold today...lol

If you go again please take lots more pictures and share them with us that are doing the smart but boring thing... staying inside!!

God bless,Mudd

I too noticed the lack of the white stuff. Must be nice. I took a two mile jaunt on Saturday afternoon and it was like a stair stepper machine all the way. What a workout!

That is some awsome practice--nice shooting. I thought the area in your pics looked familiar--Central Valley. Just down the road from you in Merced. I spend a lot of time trying to thump those rats.
