1816 legacy shafts ??

Would anyone like to see 1816 legacy shafts offered by Easton? Seems to me that they are targeting mostly recurve shooters with their selection.
 I have E mailed them but they will not respond.
I'm sure there are alot of guys pulling 45 lbs or so on longbows and would like conv nocks and a nicer looking trad shaft.
What do you say?

I would be all for it as I shoot bows between 41 and 45lbs at 25".  They would be perfect.

I remember when you could get just about any shaft size from a Easton Dealer. The last set of 2016s that I bought I had to order online. But yes, I think they should continue 1816s

I shoot an 1816 arrow and currently shoot xx75 Camo's. I would actually like to see alot wider selection in the Legacy arrows. I have emailed Easton about the problem of obtaining smaller sized shafts and have gotten no reply back from them. While we are on this subject how many of you have complained to your shaft sources about carrying smaller shaft sizes? I had emailed 3R's several times about this problem and now they are carrying the xx75 camos. Speak up! Let them know.

I would buy a couple of dozen, shoot xx75 now, would like to see it in the legacy series. LV2HUNT have shot the 1916's Legacy, and they do shoot OK, but prefer the 1816 for perfect arrow flight.

Easton is just like every large corporation. They look at sales and then they cut out stuff. Over the last few years, Easton has done away with the old Super Slam camo pattern (the one Chuck Adams used to advertise). I hate the Super Slam digital camo pattern Easton is now using. Easton also did away with the Autumn Orange colored shafts and did away with the 2113 and 2115 sized shafting. Getting rid of the 2113 sized shafts made me add one more inch to my finished arrows so I had to go from a 2113 to a 2212 X7 Elipse arrow for two of my bows. Doing away with the 2115 size also made me add one more inch to my arrows to shoot out of my third bow so I now shoot a 2213. I will say I did shoot 2213s as a backup for many decades in the low poundages I shoot, but it was a light arrow compared to a 2115. Easton is not the company it was years ago. I liked it when the Doug and Jim Easton were running the company. I'm not sure if Jim's son, Greg is running the company now, but if he is, I don't like what he's done with the bowhunting side of it with regards to it's discontinuation of many sizes of aluminum arrow shafting. I know many people who shot the 2115 arrow size, but it's gone now. Funny thing is, Easton still has the 2514 size shafting. Who in the blue blazes shoots that large diameter shaft? I've never seen anyone shoot it.

I am also of shorter draw. 26" and shooting approx. 50@28" bows. The 1916 Legacy's work great in my recurves but are to stiff for my longbows. I have found 2013's work great in my longbows. 100-125-145 grain and 28-28.5". And like the looks of the Advantage timber.

I don't mean to be critical fells but I can't see the reasoning on shooting 1916's when 1816's are correct!-I really don't think that shooting a 29 " shaft when my draw is 26.5 , losing about 10 fps to boot and not hitting my mark makes any sense just to placate Easton
Remember the old "it hits where your looking"-It's not the bow it's the arrow that matters-IMO

Carbons have become so popular with everyone, including trad archers, that Easton (IMO) is going to continue to narrow aluminum choices.  I for one will continue to shoot wood and aluminum.

Yeah, I would agree with that but if 1916s are available and 1816s are not then seems to me 1916s would work just fine with some adjustment. I would respectfully suggest that an adjusted 1916 would work better than a non existent perfect 1816.

Fallas, when I posted before it should have said,3R's now carrys xx75 Camo arrows in 1816. Get while they have them. Bowhunter Supercenter also carrys a very good selection of camos, blues, jazz, and x7 in sizes down to 1213.

I shoot 1916 easton legacy out of a Bear Black Panther 40-45# at 28. My draw length is 27 and they shoot great. Got them at Kustom King they cut and installed inserts and fletched them. Fast shipping. And good to deal with. Hope that helps.

I shoot 1816 alm. most of the time and find them getting harder to find. I can also shoot 1916 at a longer length but think it would be great if someone even made a tip heaver than 125 in a 9/32nd. This would sure make things easier. Most places no longer carry 1816. But for us CHORT little farts it would be good to have a supply. Shot the jazz arrows for a while but they are a bit soft and spent time straighting them because guys pulling arrows and being use to the carbons bent them pulling them from the targets. Besides the color was a bit much!!

Jazz is where I went to get the 2013 with a swaged nock. They DO make a pretty little "S" when my buddy pulls them from the target with one hand.

Chortdraw, I believe 3Rivers has some 9/32 tips in 145gr, they're for Beman MFX,new catalog page 38.

Carbon has not replaced aluminum and it probably never will.  There will always be room for the good old metal arrow....especially with the tight tolerance and consistency from spine to spine.   The Platinum Plus shafts come in 1816 size.
