PBS Arras
« on: February 16, 2010, 07:49:00 PM »
I usually make and donate 2-3 dozen arrows to PBS every year. This year year I made three dozen for the upcoming banquet in Nashville next month. Here they are for your viewing pleasure.

The first dozen are 1/4" kids arrows. They are made of ramin wood and 24" bop and fletched with right wing feathers.

The second dozen are 65-70# tapered larch arrows, 30" bop, fletched with right wing Canada goose feathers. They have an average weight of 651 grains and are tipped with 145 grain Eclipse broadheads.

The third ddozen are 70-75# tapered larch arrows, 30" bop, fletched with right wing spliced feathers. They have an average weight of 700 grains and are also tipped with 145 grain Eclipse broadheads.

The Eclipse broadheads are courtesy of Blake Fischer at Eclipse. Hopefully PBS will make a few dollars toward their operating expenses from the sale of these arrows.

Sir Jack you are the arrow man...  I picked up a set of Jack's arrows at the PBS banquet in Baltimore years ago. Jack you are an excellent craftsman and your arrows are first class...

Beautiful.....

That 3rd set is somethin' special  JD!

Great work all around and a very nice donation!  There will be some happy campers at that PBS banquet.

And that was also a nice donation by Blake Fischer!

Jack (alias WRB and PM)didn't mention that he also is making two dozen arrows for two lucky winners of the PBS arrwo raffle.

As one of the luckey winners, I look forward to the arrows he is making to my specifications.  I already have several dozen of his arrows.

I also have one that he entered in the PBS arrow making contest at the Baltimore PBS gathering.  His entry won first place.

Thanks PB for your generosity.
