Does your clicker hit your limb?
« on: February 18, 2010, 12:40:00 PM »
I just got a clicker to help with some form training and I was worried about the metal adjustment chain slapping the limb at the shot and so I covered it with some felt.  Is this necessary?

What have your guys noticed? I would hate to find out it is messing up my finish during practice.

Thanks
Jake

(Mods - if this needs moved I apologize.)

Jake,
You can take the chain off. Replace with  paracord.

Jake, I just took off the chain and string that they give you and replaiced it with Dloop cord.  Melt a flat mushroom on one end then slid the cord through the clicker then through your string.

Works great

Jake, not taking a shot at you mate, but this should of been posted in the "shooting" section, not here.
If you do a search on any subject before posting you might also find the subject has already been covered an what your looking for is already here.
It just makes the mods life a bit easier is all.

All the best,
ED.

Thanks Fellas!!  Taking the chain off is the perfect fix.

Ed - You are right sir I should have done a search, but the shooters forum is more about form and technique "the act of shooting the bow" than about issues with products.  I believe the topic could go either place - thus the note at the bottom of my post.

I had the same issue with my clicker chain, however it did some damage before I noticed it.  It wasn't a new bow so its not a big deal but I did go to the D-loop material, which works great.
