hey chinook..not looking for secrets, but where were you?
i would like to get the boy out again in a target rich environment.
we found quite a few out by tustemena before it snowed, looks like we may lose the snow before they all turn brown again....
tell me how close you got, not how far you shot

Awesome !
the bunny hunting has been great this year, I think its my favorite.
I don't know if you could use their hide for anything, its as thin as paper.

You're giving me hope--I've been chasing one old hare around for a couple of weekends now,and I can't believe how fast he can hustle! Looks like a hex blunt on the end of your arrow? I have been using broadheads. PS the back feet of the snowshoe hare yields (froM between the pads) the material to tie one of the highest floating flies of all time, Bill Phillips' "the Usual", which is famous in these parts (Adirondacks). Translucent and waterproof like polar bear hair.

trashwood-I am no expert on bunny equipment, I just use my regular arrows but with ace hex heads (60lb widow and heavy tapered carbons).    The hex heads have a small profile so less likely to hit brush.

huntryx-Stay on him, he's just getting bigger and maybe his vison will go !  Thanks for the tip on the hare-fly, had not heard that, I'll have to save some if I get more hares, plan on getting out a bunch more.

Great job! I have been a little scared to go rabbit hunting this winter, snows to deep. I would loose my arrows until spring if I miss. Looks like you have ground showing in the brush, I haven't seen the ground for way to long. I think I'm ready for spring.
