JC's Favorite/TX Sweat Bone---Finished (p-3)

I did a post at the beginning of the month asking for your "Single Most Favorite Hunting Knife Style". JC showed this knife by Doug Campbell which is similar to the LaClair skinner.
Well the post wasn't without of motives
I have been trying to forge knives and felt stale in my designs. I also was present when JC downed a nice Angora goat at this years TX Sweat. When he pulled out his knife, my eyes pooped out. I decided I needed to try & use some of the components of that design in one of my blades...by no means comparable to a Campbell or a LaClair. Mine is a bit beefier both in blade & thickness. Now I need to come up with a handle. Thanks JC, Doug & Ron...Doc

Brent I agree 100%. I'll be happy with Doc's SCRAP knives
.Doc you make some great looking stuff. Ya know you could always just doodle blade designs on paper until ya come up with some ya like.I made a few more but don't wanna hoard in on the post and don't wanna start another one.<><<><

Awesome Doc. A nice ebony and cocobola handle would look sweet on those.

Nice work Doc. I really like that design on the top edge. Whatever handle you come up with I'm sure it'll be a nice one.

Rob, I should have said not comparable to Campbell, La Clair, Rob, Jeremy, and the list goes on. Thanks for all your comments.
PS: If anyone is interested in buying one of my knives, there will be three up for the St Judes Auction! The Bow Build Auction should have a real surprise, Shell will be adding her incredible talent in a beaded sheath for another one, then there is the TXS 07 knife with both groups signing it. Thanks...Doc

"When he pulled out his knife, my eyes pooped out." Bummer, sorry, guy. :(
So, are you making Braille knives now? Do you need a seeing-eye shop drudge?

I suppose I better put you people on notice.
I bought one of Jeff's knives on last years St. Jude's auction. Paid a good price, but it was worth every penny. As nice as that knife is, Jeff has stepped his game up to a whole new level with some of these he's showing lately.
I would sure like to own a series of Jeff's knives, and will be bidding accordingly on the auction this year!
Nice work Jeff, I really like the look of these blades!
Bid high - bid often!

Here's one idea for a handle (not finished)...Bone picked up from last years TX Sweat at the ranch dump! Osage cap to cover webby bone marrow. Still several other knives to finish before picking one for Shell to make pretty for St Judes...Doc
