Arnold,

That is some beautiful work. If it shoots half as good as it looks, that would be incredible.

I see why you can only make a few bows each year.

Recently I was told by a large wood importer that what people are saying is Macassar Ebony actually is Asian Ebony. He said Macassar isn't available any longer.....?

Steve O, I remember when you first posted pics of that bow, it's my all-time favorite looking bow.  Is it FF compatible? And if you're ever looking to sell...
Bowhuntr, I have a Firefly with waterfall veneers and macassar ebony riser.  Do a search for "my new ebony firefly" that I posted last spring for pics.

To me, the ultimate challenge in bowhunting is not how far away you can succesfully make a killing shot but rather how close you can get to the animal before shooting.

NBK,

54# @ 28"  Fast Flight 60".  I've had a quite few offers to buy that one.  It is a pretty special bow to me and I think the only way it will ever go is if somebody  REALLY  wants it   :D

I anxious to see what Dan's bow ends up looking like...

Wow Dan can't believe your post.  I have one on order also and plan the same veneers.  I have a set of limbs with cocobolo on them I am going to also have fit to the new bow so was planning some combo very similar and I was thinking about posting the same question about these wood combo.  I was thinking about putting the cocobolo in the middle three sections and the Madagascar on the back and belly of the riser.

joe vt, if you ever decide to get rid of that Quest let me know.  I'm a longbow guy but I'd make an exception for that one.  Beautiful bow!!  I sent a pic to Big Jim so hopefully I'll have a longbow that looks very similar.

I like both of these woods.  I think you should have one of each, and then have a bow with both.    :D
