Had to downsixe, but still a great "Man Room"
« on: February 24, 2010, 01:51:00 PM »
We recently had to downsize our home, but I still have a Man Room and that is a good thing. My wife is the best for making sure I have a place.

Nice.  My man cave was boxed up and moved out to my workshop... it's still in boxes!

Man cave in the house?  That is a good wife.  I have one decent sized closet for all my stuff, everything else is in the garage.   Though I have to say I can understand that since a lot of it is blacksmithing tools, forge, anvil, etc....

Very nice.  Mine is also small, and seasonal.  It is closed up now because it is not insulated.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

At least you have a Man Room. My stuff is all over the bedroom and the wife is constantly complaining. I keep telling her to give me the spare bed room. I may have to enclose the rest of the carport to make myself a room, but everytime I mention it she says,"oh good I need a storage room" LOL. She just does not understand.

Now go get my Bison mount and put it in there!!!

A man room is better than no man room at all. We sold our house and will be living in a 2BR duplex for 4 months - that means no man room at all - lol.

The good thing is that I bargained for a heated/finished very large man room in the garage of our soon-to-be-built new place.

We are downsizing as well with a Amish built cabin over a basement. They do incredible work for really good prices I think.

I have a room about the same size. I have a Kansas deer ( avatar) , a florida boar and a flying merriam turkey along with some Jack Paluh prints and a bow rack and it looks like your even more crowded then me. My wife startedtelling me the other day that it is getting a little crowded and i stopped her right there and said it was my room and i planned to fill every square inch of it and she laughed. She loves giving her friends a tour of the house and coming to my room as the finale.

I just kept leaving my bow and arrows on the table, my quiver by the couch, some arrow shafts by the kitchen door...all of a sudden one of the spare bedrooms was suggested as an "archery room"....
Your shadow boxes with the stone arrowheads are a great touch Donny. I see you like those arrow stands too! Looks good.
Now, if you have any of those old Sweetland Forgewoods or ACME POC arrows in your way just let me know and I'll help you out.   ;)
Isaiah 49:2...he made me a polished arrow and concealed me in his quiver.

Donald, you are so sweet to say that, I figure its the least I can do letting you have ONE room, I mean you do make the money and I have the rest of the house. Sorry we had to downsize, but we had to follow the promise we made to GOD. You are the best husband EVER!

I bought a 2/1 before I got married.  The whole freaking house was my  man cave.  Then I got married and then only the back bedroom was my man cave.  Then we had a kid last summer.  The back bedroom became a nursery and my man cave went into boxes.  We are talking about moving at the end of this year is things look okay and my two requirements:

1. Garage; and
2. MAN CAVE!

I had to build a shed for the snow blower so she moved my stuff in there and said this is your "man cave". Its better to share a shed with the snow blower than not have any place at all. She doesn't go into it to get any thing at all except the snow blower unless she asks.

Acuna you might want to change your requirements to 2 extra rooms and a garage because family's grow. usually right about the time you get your room put together the way you want it.

good luck

Me and the girlfriend are fixing to move from a 650 squre ft apartment to a 930 square foot apartment with a small storage room. I also have 2 bicycle's that will have to go in there but Im hoping its big enought for a mini archery man cave.

Nothing like a good man room.  Bows, fishin sticks, heads & horns, TV, recliner, and wall space for my singing fish.  You might be a redneck if.................
