how long do you recommend a recurve or long bow to be strung? overnight, a day, a week?
thanks for your input.

I leave mine strung all the time. Depends on the bow though of course.

I unstring my longbows and all wood bows when I'm done shooting. I leave my recurves strung if I'll be shooting them regularly, otherwise I unstring them if I won't be shooting them for a week or more.
Lots of opinions on this subject.

Try a search. There's tons of posts about this.
Personally leave all my bows strung, all the time.

I leave my favorite strung all the time, especially during the summer, a groundhog could pop out in the back yard quick! But I never leave my hickory longbow strung

I usually unstring mine everyday...sometimes will let for a week. This horse has been ridden to death....check the search function.
