Wing Bows _ Brace Height

Hello Everyone,
I have a couple of Wings that I aquired from family members that I need some info on.
I had to put some new strings on them but am curious what the brace height should be.
1) is a 62" Falcon recurve at 48#'s
2) is a 52" Hunter recurve at 50#'s
I am guesing them at 8" brace height but is there a recommended brace height that they should be. I have not started to adjust up-down for the sweet spot yet.
ANyone have any experience with these 2 bows.
THanks - Bridog

I have a 62" also, and when I talked with Bob at Bob Lee Archery, he suggested 8" for a brace height. Arrows fly real good out of it. Obviously play around with it 'til you get your best performance but, I would start at the 8". It just happened to work right off the bat for me.

Older recurves generally braced from 7½ to 8½” plus or minus. There is simply no way to know all the variables that arise: arrow length, weight, nocking point, release, etc. And, given the majority of variables being identical, odds are that 2 different archers will each bring something different to the equation and have different results. Good Luck, Enjoy, Rick.
