Refinishing Howatt

Looking for help in refinishing a Howatt Bandido. It has brown glass on limbs and riser looks to be Bubunga. There is a few deep scratches in the glass. What recommendations would you give for a great finish? Sanding? Filling scratches? Satin clear coat? Thank you.

There are a number of great threads on the History/Collecting forum on steps to take in refinishing bows. I followed bowdoc's method and refinished a $20 Howatt Hi-Speed that became a $200 gem. Some sanding and some Minwax Polyurethane Spar satin finish is all it took.

I've had pretty good luck with some light sanding and then satin clear coat varnish. I'm in Neenah, WI if you want any help, or want to see the results of some of the bows I've worked on.
