2219's??
« on: March 01, 2010, 07:15:00 PM »
I just bought a dozen 2219's orange easton arrows that are 31" long. What pound bow are they made for? they seem very stiff, does anyone use these? If so what type of set up are you shooting?

I shot some out of a 63lb widow with 225 grain tips. I shot 29 inch arrows. They where heavy and tough- blew thru everything.

The recipies in my chart for that arrow length, without knowing the weight of the point, say to use with a bow in the 50# to 65# range using a point from 75 grns to 150grns. Sorry I don't have any recipies for a 225grn tip.

They spine about #95, they will work out of  bows #60 and up if cut to or past center, if you leave them long. I used to shoot them out of my recuves, that is one tough arrow! 400g @ 29"

They rock for heavy 65 plus bows depending on cut length.  Stick a 250-300 grain head on them and they are a freight train.   H

I shoot them cut to 28.5  inches with my draw of 27 with 160 grain Snuffers on them, three fletch right wing out of my 65 lb Widow and they fly perfectly.  As stated above by SL, they blow through everything.

I don't shoot anything over 55#. They came with some archery stuff I bought this weekend and it was a buy it all or nothing deal. I'll probably sell them to some who needs them, but was interested in what people where using to shoot these with. If somebody is inerested let me know or I'll list them for sale sometime when I get to it. Thanks for the input everyone.

I cut mine up and used them for 2" footing on the front of my carbons and a 3/4" footing on my nock end. It brought my total weight up and added more FOC. It made my carbons shoot much better! I don't think this is what you meant but it is what I used mine for.

I use them out of both of my preditors. 55#&57#. They fly great out of both with 140gr stingers. They are a bit on the heavy side so it makes my bows quiet.
