Not much to it. If you have a piece of antler, cut a section of it to the thickness you want (band saw or hack saw) and a little larger than the limb tip you want to cover. Sand it flat on the bottom with heavy grit 36 or 50 sandpaper). Epoxy it to the tip. Shape it with files and sandpaper. QED.

Arrow nocks or bow nocks?

Arrow nocks. Sorry guess I never heard bow tips referred to as nocks.

When I've made arrow nocks from bone and antler it's been a fairly straightforward process.
Cut the material to the size needed on a bandsaw or equivelant.
Shape the nock with a combination of belt sander and hand tools.
Cut the string groove and shape with small files.
I typically use a Bohning Classic nock for a model and size guide.
I make these nocks for bamboo shafts. I drill out the bamboo center to something like 3/16" and form a tenon on the bottom of the nock that will fit into the bamboo end.
