Is SBD back at it?
« on: March 03, 2010, 12:51:00 PM »
I am wanting to order a couple of strings from SBD and was wondering if they are recovered from their winter woes yet. Hope all is well with them.

Pierre has changed over to BCY D-10, testing must have went well. Has anyone heard the particulars?

Just a note on Pierre.

I am trying to find a Pink bow or have one made for my Wife. She is a Breast Cancer Survivor. Pierre found my thread and read it. He immediately offered to make a Pink String for the bow. He is a good man.

P.S. I love his string on my Assenhiemer Master Hunter.

My new string will be D-10 with Brownells Crown serving.  My other strings have been D-97 with Halo and 8 stands.  I have had no stretch issues with my D-97 8 stand strings.

Tom,

We have fully recovered at this point from the snow but I have a feeling that we are going to get nailed again before spring comes.

All SBD High Performance strings are now being built with the "New" BCY D-10 material (100% SK78 Dyneema) which is quieter, has less creep and is 20% stronger than SK75(DynaFLIGHT 97)...

We have done quite a bit of testing prior to changing over all of our material to the new D-10.

We along with several individual testers, A&H Archery, and Morrison Archery have found the D-10 to  most importantly be quieter, have a lot less creep,  and maintain the performance of D-97 and in some cases exceed the performance of D-97.

We are now convinced that it is the material to build high performance strings with.

We are continually striving to improve our product for our customers.

God Bless, Pierre and Jean-Pierre

Been shooting an SBD D-10 for a while now.  Very quiet and creep was about 1/8" in brace height in the first 50 shots, since then nothing.  Really a great string.  Only problem I had was a tight nock fit on Easton X nocks.  Pierre is reserving it now and I look forward to shooting it with a better nock fit.  Always shot D-97 before, but D-10 is the real deal...

Pierre and Jean-Pierre are the "salt of the earth"-- making a great product even better. How often do you see that these days?

Note to Pierre:
When the weather improves a bit I will be doing some testing of your new strings with some new TD limbs and a few others. I'll have some string orders in to you soon so I can get that done.
Best regards,
Joe

Joe,

Thanks, we very passionate about what we do and try to learn something everyday.

Weather improvement is something that we can all use.  A little sun to recharge the batteries would be great.

Thanks again and God Bless,    Pierre and Jean-Pierre
