My proposed Dream TC takedown specs are as follows:

•   Right hand
•   Length -  56”
•   Take Down Bow Option
•   Beaver tail grip – Black
•   Extra Fast Flite string
•   Wt- 53#’s @ 28
•   Grip size – ~ 4 15/16” – 5 1/6” circumference @ throat w/beaver tail grip
•   Grip configuration – ~30 degree but no more
•   Riser – Black glass w/Accents to complement limbs
•   Riser and limb accents are totally entrusted to Big Jim’s discretion
. Limbs - Dalmation w/ gaboon splice at ends
•   Tillered for three under
•   Horn Overlay Tips
•   Horn Overlay Back side of bow

Justifications:
Black Glass Riser – Have always preferred more mass wt. and I do not hunt with an attached quiver. Note: The carbon TD systems adds insignificant wt if any. Big Jim speculated that this glass material could be run over with a semi and hold up.
Jim estimated, to my questionable recollection, that the glass riser may add ~5 oz. of additional wt.

While it appears that each TC is a work of art, I have absolutely no reservations that this one would be the exception. Even those TC’s depicted as solid black or grey are works of art.  I had the dream, but it was totally Big Jim whose vision and skills are making my Dream TC a reality. Possibly a little rationalization and some practicality, the small risers are already ~50% covered by the beaver tail grip.

Limbs – Big Jim has only enough dalmation left to complete the limb veneer with a splice of some other wood. That wood will be gaboon. Again, it was Big Jim who came up with this proposal since I initially wished for all dalmation. Jim comes through again.

Yes, the bow’s name will be ‘Dream TC’.

Friend--no such thing as heresy when it comes to choosing the 'Ingredients' for 'your' custom bow. I'm anxious to see how she comes out. I'm guessing it will be a beauty.

Centaur- Hunk is not so big. I have turned into several smaller, but still prety big hunks. Liked it so much, have purchased another HUNK.

Hey Kip, I just got my new Thunderchild a few weeks ago... Haven't taken any pictures of it but I will get some soon.  B&W Ebony, with Gaboon Ebony riser, 2-piece, with beavertail, and black Buff tips and overlays on the back of riser.  No white in the bow other then what is in the wood.  Very subdued classic look, and it shoots great... 56", 70# @ 29"...  Quick hop, skip, and a jump and it has become my #1 bow...  Hopefully I'll get a proper picture with it at Solana in a month...  ;)

I bought a Thunderchild from Jim a while back. Very pretty bow. I decided later on that I wanted to try a Buffalo. Sold my T.C.,and just picked up a 66"Buff' on a trade deal. And man do I every like that bow. I mean I like everything about it. That is what it takes,a bow that I don't even need to think about shooting while shooting it. It is so fun when those arrows are just bunched together in a tight circle downrange. Everytime....well almost.
