Painting leather

I have air brushed some different tyoe of things and was kind of thinking about trying something on my back quiver. Is there anyone here that paints artwork on leather. What type of paint is used for this type of artwork. How about sharing a few photos if you have some.

Don't have any photos, but have dyed bunches of leather.
I for the past 20 years used water based dyes.
There are about 10 basic colors and all you need to do is mix them according to charts to achieve almost any color imaginable.
I even have silver and gold flakes if you prefer to dance them up a bit.
My old air brushes are dead but am considering purchasing a new one in order to experiment on leather and wood. Possibly glass if I can find the proper primer.

you could probably get away with createx paints,they seem to work well on lots of surfaces.I have used them to paint a spare tire cover a while back and painted the back of my jacket back in 97 I took the picture today  http://images.imagelinky.com/1267843626.JPG

I haven't painted leather much.The jacket wasn't treated with anything after painting and In my opinion held up pretty well.A quiver or knife sheath shouldn't get abused as bad
