Lately I cannot satisfy my desire to see all things turkey. Please share some of your turkey hunting pictures to help me out. Here are a few of mine for now.
Anybody living in turkey country that can give a status update on the strutting and gobbling?

Took a youth hunting this morning. Heard several gobbling on the roost. Ended up seeing 6 longbeards, and about 12 jakes. A couple birds responded good on the ground until about 8am. They just didn't seem too interested. They are in bachelor groups here, but it shouldn't be long before they start establishing dominance. Our regular season opens next saturday.

Our NY season opens May 1. Friday morning I got home from work at 6am..took the dog out and behind the house a tom gobbles. A few minutes later he is joined by 2 other toms. The music continued for about 15 minutes as they worked to about 100 yds from the house...God I can't wait..

Our season doesn't open until May 3rd. Our toms are still in bachelor groups. Hopefully our easy winter will mean lots of birds.

The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Cool pics Guru. Jeff have you hunted turkeys with your recurve yet?
Here are a few more. Got away from the blind last year and had a blast. I made what I thought were two perfect shots on turkeys and lost both. I've had great recovery success until then. I'm going to make a serious effort at spot and stalk again this year. I have found western turkeys much easier to spot and stalk than easterns. Maybe the terrain helps, but I swear those eastern birds are harder to hunt.

If you're asking me....Not with the recurve. But, I hunted all last season with a longbow.
Honestly, I may as well have been throwing rocks. That's two seasons in a row I haven't drawn on a turkey. I had a yote and a bobcat in range......but no turkey!

Saw several flocks north of Walkerville, Mi last Saturday. One tom strutting with a group of hens in the snow. They look in great shape. Should be an amazing year.
