He demonstrates what tough is!  A little faith, a little determination and an occasional dose of whoop-em will do wonders!  He's on my prayer list!

Good to hear this follow up!  I heard the news and was very sad for the guy.  I know that I wouldnt be able to bounce back so soon, it would probably take me years!!!  Good to hear it, I dont have VS anymore, and that ticks me off!  But I am glad he is still doing his thing

That is good news! I was wondering as others were, what his condition and status was. Can't wait to see him out there hunting again.   :clapper:

The best news ever, I love him.Any guy that does a show and misses and shows that you don't have to make a kill to have a great hunt is cool.He is the best and he will recover, its in his spirit.      :clapper:    :clapper:

Tough man with a big heart and the strength of strong convictions. I respect men like Tred because agree with him or not he will always be truthful with you and you always know where he stands.
we can use some like that running this country.
In answer to a previous question he had been diagnosed with some type of rare viral (I believe) disease that affected his brain and spinal cord and the prognosis was last I heard paralysis from the neck down if he survived.
I had a feeling we would hear from him again, didn't you all?

I owe all my desire to go full trad to Tred Barta and Fred Eichler. If it weren't for those two shows I'd still likely be using training wheels. I'm gonna have to set the DVR again. We just dumped directv for cable.

Yep, fishing for sails on 2lb test.  It takes stones for anyone to try that, but anyone that has seen his show knows he has no lack of gumption or "vinegar" as my granddad used to call it.

Keep kicking butt Tred, and Godspeed...
