Stump Shooting Montana Style
« on: March 08, 2010, 09:47:00 AM »
Was out to my parents place this weekend. Unseasonably warm and dry in SW Montana. Not many stumps so we shoot clumps and chips. Had a great weekend. My son Kash has figured out he can shoot an arrow out of Dad's bow pretty well if I hold it for him. He's only 4 and the arrow only goes about 10 feet but he is pretty proud. Had a great time. Some pics. Thanks for looking.

How about some specs on that turd tamer you're shooting there? Monster view of what looks to be a great hunting area! Thanks for the pix.

Does your son need a bow?  He's a righty?  I have one that might work for him....

Sean, you look like you could still suit up for the Grizzlies.  The weekend was beautiful in the Bitterroot...I got the Cherokee out and flew the length of the valley several times on Sunday.

Way cool!!!
Getting out don't get any better.
It is generaly a safe time of year to shoot at trail biscuits and "pies".

My experience tells me that summer and fall can be dangerous! You never know what might end up on you arrow.

Nice looking country. I'm hoping to do a cross-country motorcycle trip late Summer this year, or Spring next year. Montana is one State I've always wanted to see for myself, along with Wyoming, Idaho, and the Dakotas.
