In this pic, if you look slightly left of center this is my boar "Marbles" but right before it was reduced to hams.I approached him from the right of pic.Aint that a beautiful place??? I miss it already and cant wait to get my boots muddied up in it again.

Thats the last of my pics, the others will either scare you or fill you with pitty for the mugs in em and my bald head might blind you with the glare.Everything about this trip was absolutely perfect, from the amount of game( I saw at least 20 hogs)to the new friends met in camp.Even the road trip to and from. We got so lucky on the way home that we saw an albino doe on Rte 13 and about 150 miles from home ran out of gas 20 feet from the gas pumps after a desolate stretch of road.Just a perfect trip.

 This critter fell to my Shrew at 7 yrds.  Found out later you could get right up next to 'em.

  Sunday morning I was making my way through these pines where I would stop and glass every few steps. As I eased along I suddenly heard something in the brush to my right and about 12 yards in front. As I started to croutch down and snatch an arrow from my quiver I had a good size boar materialize from a patch of cane with his rear end pointed in my direction.  He stood there for maybe 5 seconds before easing around to my right and behind some rather thich brush.  He let out a small snort as he moved  behind the cane but never offered a clear broadside shot as I heard him moving off.

Thats a cool pic of those pines Rick, I never made it clear of teh swamp long enough to take a stroll through those pines.Congradulations on the dilla, nice shooting.

Here's Izzy enjoying Chicken & Dumplings after killing his Hog.
That fire pit was huge. No tv and no radio, we enjoyed campfires and  starlit night skies in the evenings and a nip or two of some fine bourbon.
