little help with leather
«

Hey guys, I have one of the brown hooded leather GN bow quivers and would like to darken it to a deep brown. Thought of rubbing it with mink oil but that has a pretty strong odor to it. Any suggestions for helping me out is much appreciated! Thanks....IJ

Try Fiebings leather dye. It is an alcohol based dye with very little odor. They also have a website.

Walnut hull dye works well also and the smell is natural.

Pitch Blend Oil would be my choice--the odor is a p[leasant and natural one, and the oil is good for the leather.

I darkened mine up with some leather dye I got from local cobbler and mixed it with neatsfoot oil. Shoe polish and montana pitch blend works too.

Good post Cookus, I've used Fiebings for years and it works great.
