I am leaving 7:15 PM this evening for 1st bait trip, Bill Moran & Bill Langer will be joining me.We will make marathon bait run #1. Will keep you posted.

Many forest fires in that region right now. LaTuque is under siege!

The camp is in the prohibited zone as we speak.

Click on the map icon. once you zoom in on La Tuque check the «Prohibition d'accès et de circulation en forêt» box to the right of the map. A red zone appears. That's the prohibited zone.

Camp is barely in the zone, North/North-Est of Rapide-Blanc.

Hope Tom and the guys get to bait this week-end.

I'm sure they are safe, no worries.

Hope all is well in Quebec. Pray that all involved in that neck of the woods are safe. We've had our share of nasty forest fires here in Michigan in the past and they are devastating.

Well myself,Bill Langer & Bill Moran arrived back at my house from 1st BQ4 bait trip about 4:45 pm today.It was a marathon run.We were able to get out 20 baits,#21 we where not able to put in because of fire's North and road was closed as precauation.We saw NO Fires or Fire Engines,Fire Fighters,Helicopters and such which was good news.There has been fires before twice in the past 20 years near & around,but area was not closed.Hopefully there will be RAIN soon !! All baits have Pastries,at least 5 gallons of grease in front of bait as tracking pit,James Valley Scent Paste,4 different sprays the Bears should be starting to come for miles !!! Well got to go outside and unpack & then start to REPACK for bait trip # 2 on Thursday !!!

Great news about the fires at this point (if there IS a way for news about fires to be great!)

I wondered what kind of impact they may be having on the area. It's good to hear the "show" can go on!

Survived a 10 ft' fall from the Wensel stand. Very sore but alive. Will fill you all in around the camp fire.

I can't wait to get up there, maybe the fires will burn all around the areas outside of the immediate area of the baits and all the bears will be looking for food at our baits maybeeeeeeeeeeee.See you all real soon.

Wild Bill: I told TP if I would have left some little pointed stakes at the bottom of the tree I would have got a Lunger instead of a Langer. Glad you're okay. Thanks for being my "test pilot". Good job! UB

this has been hammering on us for over 8 months and I held out,I held out until the last 14 day time limit to purchase my ticket and or to come clean and fess up to you guys.
I had to talk with Tommy prior to him going on the bait run last thursday and it was the second hardest thing I've had to do in some time believe me it hurt me all the way to the pit of my gut.
My wife has been sick for sometime but the good news is she's getting better.It was the bull ride from hell believe me.Life can change in the blink of an eye and this has consumed our whole family.Like I said she's getting better and may be able to come home sometime this month.
I have got to be here with her everyday just like I do now.I go there everyday no matter how things are going for me or what I have to do more then anything else she needs my support right now and I would never let her down after putting up with my goat smelling ass for 40 years ? not gonna happen I'am just not going to be able to make the trip this year and I know in my heart of hearts you guy's understand bd
