I think my over all fav's are juniper, olive ash, hickory, ziricote, ebony and of course bamboo! ^^
(I know boo is a grass, but i still think it counts)

Though I'd love to see a bow with some of these:

Gmelina (or batinj) Burl

Carpathian Elm Burl

Morrel Red Burl

That morrel is jaw dropping imo!

So many good looking woods. In exotics, I like darker woods like ebony, zirote, and so on.

But, my absolute favorite, believe it or not, is grey action wood! I love the look of a hunting bow with grey action wood riser and that cross grain cut action wood limbs.

I own a Cocobolo/Ebony riser recurve with red elm limbs, which I think is beautiful.

That said I have always been a sucker for fancy maple (Quilted, Tiger stripe or Birdseye) on the limbs and in the riser. I have seen some beautiful risers with natural fancy maple contrasted with darker pau fero, wenge or ebony that really caught my eye. If I was going order a new custom I think those would be my choices.

I love the combo of snakewood and wenge...but then figured myrtlewood with wenge is good too...too many beautiful woods to just pick a couple.
