A new R/D bow "Equinox"
« on: April 24, 2007, 03:58:00 PM »
Today I finished a new R/D bow that I built on order. I started building it on March 21 therefore I have named this bow “Equinox”.
The bow is 62” long has a pull of 47 lbs. @28”. The riser is made of bocote and black walnut split by a mosaic strip. The limbs are made of bocote under clear glass (backing and belly), the core is osage and ash. The tips are made of black micarta and bocote.

This was my result after some shooting at 20 yards.

Awesome bow! The more bocote I see, the more I think that my first custom bow is going to be bocote.

The bow looks great, but I'm really impressed that you have the b@11s to shoot at that target with windows and doors, etc right behind it.
