Saluki is building the Grandeur model longbows again. Always herd great things about them.

"Mild r/d-Abbott."

Agree.  One of the best values out there (design, shootability, looks, price) for a mild R/D D-style longbow.

All of the bows listed are great choices. My own favorite in this category is the Border Griffon GL.

Alot of these are not really mild reflex/deflex bows IMO.

I like Mohawks.Fredericks,GN Critter Gitters,Liberty Contender,Black Swan Carbon Classic,Dwyer.

J.D Berry and Robertson have been around for a long time and are 2 of the originals in this style.

I am sure thier are many other nice ones.

After i read about the winking method for fixing a flinch from a thread, a technique I heard about 40 years ago from a PAA pro, which worked wonders for me, thanks to who ever posted it. I went out and shot my right hand Pearce Point Purist, shot a few groups and then went back in the house to replace some broken nocks. I was thinking how could any bow be better than this. Today I went out with 6 fiberglass arrows to try out of my new lefty Robertson longbow. After a few groups, I went in to repair four of the 6 arrows. Tough question. 18 yards is hard on my arrow supply with these.  You always wonder, "how much better is the next best bow?"  Somewhere budget with restraints I will have to say good enough is good enough.

Green Mountain and a Northern Mist Superior, Best I have shot for smoothness, quiet and no hand shock! Great workmanship also!! Both bowyers are great to work with also! To bad Green Mt. are no longer made.

More European champs shoot Border longbows than any other single make. I know, I know, it's the shooter, not the bow but I just HAD to throw that in there and yes, there are American bows in these tourneys!    :D
