What's the standard? (insert)
« on: March 13, 2010, 08:37:00 PM »
Insert that is. What is the standard insert that ya'll use with ALUMINUM (not carbon) arrows. Just getting an idea. Not getting em for a while but was curious. All I can find is PDP. Shafts will most likely be 2020 but that's subject to change when I get my bow. (need to measure some things on it)

Thanks, much appreciated. You guys have helped me with my traditional adventure a lot.

Easton / PDP / Satellite ? Just the brand name.

2020 =  1913 inserts will work    :thumbsup:

But it seems like all brands except the ones labeled PDP are sized for carbons.

And I would need a 1913 rather than a 2020 insert? Thanks! I've only ever shot wood so this is new stuff.

Kiefer,
They make PDP's for aluminum. Either or 2020/1913 Yes the 1913 will work.

Don't your shafts come with the inserts? or are you looking for a longer insert?

Well, that was a little too obvious. Can't believe that I never thought to look at if the shafts had inserts with them.   :campfire:

Camo Hunters do not come in the 2020 size. Just in the Legacy's.

I know how ya feel K. Mogensen i just switched over to Aluminums a month ago. I love woodies, but they can be tricky sometimes.

I figure i'll practice with the alums until i get a dz or more woodies made up perfect then i'll switch back....maybe :-)
Its all Gary Paulsen's fault, he got me dreaming about a bent stick and string.
