Great Day at the Range
« on: March 16, 2010, 12:23:00 AM »
I have the best wife ever!  We spent the day Sunday at the charity shoot at Archery world here in Vancouver.  As we were walking out of the shot, Tricia looked at me and says I want to go to the club and shoot 3D's.  We loaded up the dog and headed on out on a balmy 55 degree winter day for some 3D fun.

Excellent follow-through!!  I love how the camera caught the arrow on the string leaving the bow!!

Sounds like a good day and you need to have your wife talk to mine about how much fun archery is!!
God Bless,
Erik

Send me her email and I will have the wife chat her up.  Tricia tells every wife who will listen that they need to involve themselves in their husbands hobbies.  She wouldn't see a whole lot of me if she didn't hunt and fish.  Then again, I spent a lot of year looking for one that would hunt and fish before I found her.

The two fingers release is the only way to go in my book.  It took me two weeks to really get comfortable with it, it really improved my groups. I was constantly dragging the third finger which caused plucking problems on my release.  I can shoot longer and straighter with two fingers, and cqan hit straight at further distances using two fingers.  I keep 80% of the tension on the bottom finger and 20% on the top finger.

Yes, Tricia bow is a Wes Wallace Royal- 66 inches - 45 lb at 28 inches - Bubinga riser - light bamboo limbs and Bubinga veneers.  We gave the two bow to each other as wedding gifts.  She and I each have another on order as anniversary gifts.

Did I already mention I have the best wife ever?
