She...that's a bearded hen. A very wet bearded hen haha. Yea they are pitiful looking when wet.Notice wings still look good though. That's why they make such good fletching    :bigsmyl:

That's what my LDB bearded hen looked like when I shot her ! Same wet type day,  same kind of "pitiful" look!

Mickey you've been killing me. MO season opened 4/16 and this Fri, Sat and Sun I finally get to get out. Thanks for the motivation........

Yes she's legal Shawn but I'd personally be hesitant to shoot her in the spring. She may have a nest/clutch of eggs someplace and I'd hate to see it abandoned. Don't get me wrong, I have NO problem with anyone shooting ANY legal quarry, I'd just pass personally at this point in my life.I'm not so hung up on just killing something, and Krogers has Butterballs if I really want some turkey. Do enjoy chasing them though.

In the fall however she better not walk in front of me or I'll at least fling one at her.

Great pic ferret,,I've only seen one hen in my life with a beard but seems like you get a few of them birds around you.  Hows your season goin bud?
