YOUR choice for 3D target retailers?
« on: March 22, 2010, 02:48:00 AM »
I am considering getting my buddy a new 3D target. We've shot the living dog snot out of his 2D wolf.....poor thing.

Would like a reasonable price for the target and shipping.

Thanks!

I have purchased some 3D targets from cabelas.com and have been satisfied with both quality and cost for shipment.
Only thing I`ve not been satisfied with was a river bottom buck. It had plastic legs and with a low hit in the chest you actually might hit the upper part of the leg and with wood arrows that might be a problem to get them out with out breaking or damage to the 3D animal.

They have starter prices at $99,- for 3D deer and just a few USD more for a deer with replacement vitals.

Was browsing through some reviews of targets on this site a couple of days ago. Maybe it will give you some info.

I have found the rhinehart bowhunter buck to be the best bargain in targets. I am a dealer for Delta, Mckenzie, and rhinehart and sell more of these rhineharts than all the others combined.
In order to get a deer from the other guys that doesn't have plastic leggs, you will spend over 50% more. To top it off, the rhineharts have easier arrow removal and foam lasts longer.

Thanks,bigjim

Rinehart.
IN fact, if you volunteer to work the NAtional Archery in the Schools Program National Tournament May 7-8th in Louisville, Kentucky you will receive a free Rinehart Backyard Buck for your effort. COntact me if you want to sign up -- need 106 volunteers to oversee the shooting of 5,616 student archers.

If you plan on doing a lot of shooting you have to go with a rinehart. It lasts at least 3 times as long as other targets. We bought them for our archery club and they last a long long time with a lot of pounding.

Cabelas has a big selection.

I'm another that will give two thumbs up to Rhineheart targets......should outlast all the others by a great margin.......not cheap.....just better quality.

I recently acquired Field Logic's Glendale buck. The big one with the replaceable block kill area. I really like the target, especially in my basement range with traditional equipment. You can take the block out and turn it around to really extend the life. The kill zone is so thick traditional equipment doesn't penetrate so deeply to shoot out multiple sides. This will be my treestand practice target when I move it outdoors to shoot from the deck.

Rhinehart, you should be able to get them direct from Rhinehart. Another to consider is R & W, they are hard to beat for the money.  A internet search should get you the contact number.
