One With the Wilderness - anyone read it?
« on: March 23, 2010, 09:22:00 AM »
Whats the angle on this book?  Seems like an interesting book, plus I'm soloing for elk this fall - the price just seems a little steep to buy without a review.  Anyone read it?

Worth it! As Bill M. said, do a search. I know I wrote my thoughts on the book a few months ago.

Good hunting insights, simple thoughts mixed with deep, challenging philosophies, and a GREAT job of writing.  It's one of my all time favorites.

Yep, I recommend it!!!!!

Good book well worth the read.  While I don't really keep magazines anymore this is one book you might want to keep for a long while.

I have quite a bit of insight into how the book came about since the author is a friend of mine, in fact, he graciously included some of my photographs in a work that is very dear to his heart.  Mike really struggled to "do it right". He not only successfully shares his lifelong passion but spared no expense in presenting his thoughts in an extremely high quality publication.  You won't be disappointed.
