When using binoculars, spotting scope, or [heaven forbid
shooting a rifle with a scope What are your thoughts on the effect of bifocals or [or those who have to use them trifocals]

On my binos [Stieners]I just roll the rubber cups down and put them right up to my glasses, have had no problems.

I take my glasses off and it works well for me. Put them on you head temporarily and adjust your binos to your vision. Close you eye that is in front of the adjustable occular and focus with the center wheel. Then when it's in focus open your other eye and adjust the occular to correct for the difference between your eyes. Mark this spot on the occular so you can pre-set it to compensate for the difference between your eyes. I hope I said that right....seems a little confusing.

With scopes I just set them for me with my glasses on.
Bino's I use them without my glasses,,bit of a pain to always have to flip me windows up,,but that's life.
Same for a spoting scope, flip em' up and get nice an close to the lense.
I do have hand painted focusing marks on both my Bino's and spoting scope because every time I let somebody else look through them,I get them back out of focus,,,,it is funny watching them screw their nose up an start fiddling with the rings though.

I use spotting scope and binoculars with my progressive bifocals. I just roll down the rubber eye caps also.

I also use progressive bifocals, and like some others just roll back the eyecups.
