J. Hill Elite (new to me)
« on: March 24, 2010, 06:13:00 PM »
Yesterday afternoon late, I signed for this J. Hill Elite 69" & 67#@28". Hard to find longer LB's at a healthy weight so I jumped on it.

Below you'll see the initial stringing w/fistmele at 5". JFF, I shot it several times w/o arm guard & was lucky to hit the bale on my 15 yard indoor target. Hit my arm plenty though, thumb too.

I e-mailed Jerry for the proper brace height, made the adjustment to 6.5", replaced the leather rest, and repositioned the string nock set (2nd pic). The third photo is the first arrow group after the adjustments were made. It is 4" across. No more arm skid marks either.

Finally, a J. Hill to add to the stable! She spits 32" 2117 alums PDQ and fun to shoot!!

I have a Jerry Hill "Stalker Delux", real nice bow, likes a heavy arrow and is almost silent.

Since I got my Jerry Hill elite I've been neglecting the other bows on the rack. I guess I'm just having too much fun to put it down. They do like a heavy arrow.  My neighbor just got some fishing arrows, and I just had to try them, darn if they didn't fly great and hit like a ton of bricks.

Yessir Bolong...these arrows were the first 2117's to come over on the Mayflower. Refletched w/local water bird feathers.

Behind the fancy styrofoam is a stack of tightly bundled carboard about 3' square. Great arrow stopper. Really surprised how nice the bow shoots. Appreciate your comments.

Very nice! just don't lay that down after dusk you wont find it.
