Having skinned out a couple of American Buffalo I know what you mean about not being able to turn one over..lol If we had had access to an electric wench we'd never gotten them skinned.

How hard is to walk away from all that meat knowing that your feeding Dingoes, buzzards and whatever else eats meat when you yourself are a meat eater?..lol

BTW- a 'ute' is what you guys call a pickup.

what else can you do but walk away from all that meat. you can't carry it all. even if you did trips back and forth it would be fly blown and starting to bloat. meat doesn't last long when it's out in 35C (100F) if you can you come back in about 4-5 days and have fun hunting the pigs that will be feeding on it.

To quote 'Ol Dan'l Boone:

"I've kil't two" just like you, but you definitely did me one better.

I did it both times with Billy Baker holding a .375 H & H on the bulls when I shot. It was still exciting as Hell, but you did it solo.

I know what that means, and man, MATE, my hat's off to ya.

WAY TO GO!

P.S. Found out later a .375 H & H will not kill a bull with one shot, or two. Seems it takes about three shots and about an hour. Not much help there, especially when a guy is only 15 to 18 yards away from the bull he just stuck with an arrow. Maybe 'Ol Ozzy Clint, hunting solo,  isn't as crazy as you think?

I read this on page 3 and didn't post...on the way to the hospital to see my dad who had a stroke.

Speaking of which, lookin at the pic of that buff staring down his nose at ya, I think I might have had an emoblism or at least soiled myself! That is intimidating, hoss!

Wondered about that ute thing...love to know where that term comes from.

I don't think I'd have the cazones to walk 4+miles back "in" to hunt dangerous critters alone, then skin out what I could and hump it back to the "ute." Gads, bro.
