Concealment Tip for ground blinds and tree stands

Well around this time of the year I like to do the maintenance on my tree stands and gear.I have to paint a couple of stands and wanted to share a concealment tip with you guys and gals. Some may already do this and some may not.So what I do is hit yard sales and such to find artificial Christmas trees,And I use the the branches on the under part of my platform on my stands.I try and let it hang out past the front 6-10" and use a zip tie or to to secure they.I also use the large bottom branches for some of the ground blinds.I take a 1x3(cut to 4'and I cover it with mud and let it stain it for color) and drill small holes on the sides(on a slight angle downward) and a few on the front and 45 degree cut the bottom (to put in the ground)I use a smaller bit than the wire ends of the branches so they stay in the holes. You can carry them very easily and set it up anywhere quickly and quietly, and the branches can be bent to suit your shooting window. They are great for turkey hunting and deer. And you can make a lot of portable blinds and tree stand cover camo from a $20.00 yard sale Christmas Tree.Make sure you leave it out side to weather and air out.I hope someone finds use out of this.

I made up some of the ground blind deals your talking about a couple of years ago but used 1/2 doul rods 3' long for the steak. Just drill holes at a 45 through the doul and your good to go..... they work great. Killed a couple of gobblers while useing them..... for one I layed out in the middle of a field and stuck them in the ground in front of me and killed a nice tom, but that was with a thunder stick
They pack in great
