PIMP my PREDATOR!
« on: March 29, 2010, 08:29:00 PM »
Ok, I've never skinned a bow nor had one that had skins on it. Want to have one unique bow that stands out for me, so, looking for suggestions and ideas. What type of skin would look good with these colors? Riser is Zebra Wood. Was also thinking of a tan colored special made quiver to go with it.

Let the ideas flow!   :D

I second the copperhead.

I think it really stands out the way it is.Skins would only takeaway from the beauty of your bow.

I dont think you can do anything to it that has'nt been done already.

Great looking bow,you can always get a thunderhorn quiver to dress it up.

Bill, your quiver was what gave me the idea of finding one to match my bow. Really love the looks of that one!

You gotta do Copperheads.......

Bill Dunn had a brown colored watersnake skin on his web site that would also look great.

If you absolutely must skin the limbs, I think that western diamondback would accentuate the grays of the bow really well. However, I second the checkering idea----classic look.

Copperheads no way. Send that dude to Bob Morrison and have him put some Canebrake skins on it. The overall gray color with the little bit of tan and black in them will match perfectly.

With the red stripe in the riser...maybe try to find a corn snake????

It would be unique...as I don't think I've seen many bows with something other than copperhead, canebrake, rattle, or some mammal-print type skin.

Tom, that is definitely a possibility! I really like the looks of those skins.

I also like the checkering idea. Who does the checkering?

I would also like to see the copperhead if anyone has a pic?!
