Black Ram

In the Oct/Nov 2000 issue of TBM there is a picture of Dale Klug with what I understand is a Black Ram recurve built by Paul Schwartz. Does any one know about these bows? If he was the bowyer, does he still make them?

The Black Ram bows were/are built by Paul Schwartz. They're super bows, just hard to find. Paul stopped making them while he did hurricane rebuilding, but he's back in Wisconsin now. I saw one that he made last Fall that just blew me away. Stunning craftsmanship. The guy with the bow didn't have his number or address, and I haven't seen him since. If I was looking to buy a recurve, I'd hope to locate Paul, somehow. The guy did mention that Paul's living in the Green Bay area.If you find him, tell him that Gary Vater says "Hello". Good luck!
