HOWARD HILL BIG 5 IDENTIFICATION
«
on:
April 02, 2010, 08:25:00 PM »
Any of you guys know about the serial numbers on the Howard Hill bows? I am looking at one to buy maybe and the owner does not know the age.
She was able to give me a serial number though and was hoping that you guys might be able to id from that.
Any help greatly appreciated.
BC 681343 75EZ8 (the 5 could possibly be an "s")
Thanks
Joe

B stands for Big Five. The C for Craig, the fella who built it. First two numbers of the serial number 68 indicate it's a 68-inch bow. The 1343 would have meaning to Craig. He could tell you from those numbers when he made the bow. I expect the last set of numbers is actually 75#@28. If it's important that you know the age, call or email Craig Ekin at Howard Hill Archery.

That serial would be a pretty low one for Craig. He keeps some records though, so he ought to be able to pin it down pretty well for you.

I just went down to the shop to check. I have an older Craig built Big 5 that is number 3537. The newest Hill I have is a Longbowman's Choice #5876. It's about 2 or 3 years old.
