Chek-mate Bow Blanks
« on: April 03, 2010, 12:11:00 PM »
I Just received the first ever Bow blank from  Chek-Mate to try my hand at.

It looks like we will be able to shape our own version of the new "Beaver Creek" Longbows Marc is introducing.

This blank is a glue up only. No shaping has been done other than the limbs are cut .

It should make a nice bow for my Grand Daughter .The Yew limbs look great already.

He may be offering the blanks in a closer to complete version also, with the shelf cut in and the grip roughed out.

John...these are really not on the market yet...I received this blank from Marc at Chek-mate with instructions to get it up to Pete to review it...there hasn't even been a price point as yet!!
I am sure there will be a standard blank with options for riser woods and veneers.

Chek-Mate does not have a site..yet. There should be one coming in the future.

I will be making this into a "Build along" project as I work on turning it into a shooter over the next little while.
