lean, green, shootin' machine
« on: April 03, 2010, 02:18:00 PM »
Here's one I shipped out today, the riser is diamond wood, the color is called Tahitian Jadewood, it's a midsized longbow, 59" long, 46# @ 28", cherry laminations, black fiberglass, elk antler tips.  The customer wanted it named "White Feather".  I was going to write green feather on the limb but I decided just to do what he wanted.

The big white thing on the shelf is a feather rest he requested.

Dang Mike! That is too cool. I am wanting a green bow as I keep seeing them pop up here on the site. Very nice work indeed!

How cool is this?       Way!!

I love a Scottish looking bow. It also looks like it won't need a whole bunch of training to find the bullseye.

God bless,Mudd

Not much at all Roy,  those were the first 6 shots I took, from 20 yrds back, while setting a brace ht.  I probably could put them all within about an inch of one another if I didn't shoot so many bows each week.

Love it. I also think the name Green Feather is much more appropriate.

Wow Mike she looks amazing! Can't wait to take her Bear hunting. Oh and as for the name "White Feather", it was a nickname given to me by a Meti friend. Not many folks bowhunt where I come from so when she found out that I was silly enough to give it a try she bestowed upon me the name "White Feather". Every since then I decided my first custom bow would bear that name.

Cool nickname Justin.  I really liked the way that wood finished and it's my new favorite, until I use a different color of diamond wood anyway.  It seems like everytime I try a new color I really like it.

The website I get it from is  www.rrpwhite.com   lots of neat colors there.

Wow! I went and looked Mike. I understand why each one is your favorite.
I tried to pick one I thought I liked best but I quit after coming up with 1,4,9,14,19,37, and 39.

I would go crazy if I were really trying to pick from all those beautiful pieces of wood.

Super neat to see one done like this. I have a GEN III from Seigeworks due towards the end of the month with about the same concept. Just made me even more excited.
