I am so very sorry for the loss of what could have been your bow of a lifetime.

How was it packaged? I'd really like to know so I can be sure to avoid that method of packing.

God bless,Mudd

In a triangle box with bubble wrap.  It looked like that someone at the post office kicked it.  I heard of going postal but come on this was someone stuff.

Obviously the bowyer did a lousy job of packing.  Hope it works out for you.

Sorry for your loss. Hope everything works out okay for you. My bowyer packed my bow in some 3 in plastic pipe, seems like that would have been the way to go.

Sorry to see and hear about it.  There have been quite a few posts lately about bows being received that are damaged during shipment.

Rudder bows is top notch.  I have nothing but good to say about them and their serice.  Anyone looking for some raw materials for bow building should give them a try.

For it to be deliberate would require some semblance of intelligent thought at the post office.

I can assure you, when Monty Browning retired they now are without that asset.

Well stuff happens in shipping sometimes.  But if you use good shipping tubes and pack well it doesn't happen very often.  The triangle boxes spliced together are just not a good way to ship a bow.

It all depends on how the box goes down the conveyor. Nothing survives being cross ways. I had several bows broken in half, even a massive osage stave. I insured the bows, payment was swift and hassle free. Didn't insure the stave, didn't think a mack truck could break it, my loss.

Nothing against the great bowers out there but for the money a 20$ peice of pipe would save them some cash and there recipiant a broken heart! Again nothing against this bower or others but this isn't the first time and when you wait 4mos. or 14mos. this stinks.

Well I'll tell you one bowyer who gets it right! Marty from Apex Predator shipped the bow I got from him in a 3" PVC tube. They would have had to run that sucker over to break the bow inside.

Sorry about your bow but, glad it is going to be taken care of.

Was that the triangle priority boxes, If so they blend too easy. Do what wingnut said.

I've had a lot of bows come to me in those triangular pieced together boxes and have been fortunate that what was retained inside was still intact.
