Stringer lenght
« on: April 05, 2010, 05:57:00 PM »
How long should a stringer be? I am 5,10 and the commercial srtinger I bought is quite short, forcing me to bend down and use my back to string the bow. I already pull my back out twice...
thanks

Depends on the length of the bow, bows come in so many different lengths.I have modified the stringer length and cups on a few of my stringer.A stringer may be long for a 52" K-mag but quite short for a 68-70" Hill.

Make your own with parachute cord and use the pad and cup you have. And the closer you put your feet the longer it will get and shorter if you spread your feet apart.

Adjust the stringer length so that you are comfortable when sliding the string into the string nock. I personally like the stringer at a length where the stinger is approximately at my waist when the string gos into the nock. I also use one foot so I can face the nocking end of the bow. I don't have to reach so much that way. Try both feet or one foot see what what you like best.
