Peckerwood Gets A New Wing
« on: April 07, 2010, 07:00:00 PM »
After much begging and pleading , I finally convinced Ed Holcomb to build me a Wing P2 replica. It arrived today and I am a happy dude. Ed said it was OK to show it around but he won't be building anymore P2's. Way to much work.

The bow is 62 in. ,49 # @ 28 in. Bubinga riser and red elm limbs.

That is neat.  The working limb on these bows seems short, or is that just the picture?

From the picture it looks like a long riser and short limbs.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I have always liked the lines of the P2. This bow has a 22 in. riser  and shoots real smooth.  Ed's bow is a little slimmer than the original and has a great grip. I cannot believe the work that must go into making one of these bows. Ed has built a few in the past but does not like to build these labor intensive bows.

I will have the bow at Baltimore if you guys want to fondle.

Notice he said "fondle" not shoot!   :goldtooth:

Bill, that puppy is almost as purdy as some of your own home grown ones you've made!  :)
