Have you seen the new Hill Country Bows?
« on: April 08, 2010, 10:27:00 PM »
Of course you haven't. Roman just finished these and I went down to take some photos.

The latest creation. A RD, simple riser long bow.

Introducing "The Mohican".

He told me he had a special bow he wanted me to be sure and take pictures of. It is the K-2.

I'd say it is a "Special"K-2. The pics don't do it justice. He wasn't home when I went by so I may have the woods wrong. Beautiful orangish Cocobolo, and Ebony with some sappy streaks. He had just sprayed the matte coat earlier in the day, and it still had to cure before the buff. That's why it looks a little dimpled in the pics.

The Harvest Master is one of my favorite bows of Roman's. Fast, hard hitting, and smooth on the draw.
Not bad on the eyes either.

Some of the bows pictured are spoken for, but ask, if you are interested, and I'll see if available. If not available, I'm sure he can hook you up in quick order.

Kenny:

Those are some awesome looking bows, and I bet they shoot just as good as they look.

Roman makes a very nice bow. The Harvest Master I reviewed is one of those bows that is as good a shooter as it looks.

Roman does make some great bows,I had the pleasure of going to his shop last year with a friend who bought one of his bows. He's one heck of a craftsman,he makes some great lookin furniture too, which I think is his main business.
