My kind of story with a happy ending. What part of Italy are you hunting? My father's side of the  family is from the Llublana area just north of Trieste.  The borders have changed a lot over the years in that area (now Slovenia) and its not in Italy but it is one of the few places in the world I would be willing to travel at my age.

TJ,read the past pages;there is a excellent recipe with chocolate.I'll try to post some in the next days,most of them utilize wine that here is expensive like water but really some of the best.
Mike that isn't my to go bow but it is a good shooter,it is a Cocobolo SAX,2006.

Thank you so much for sharing your hunt with us.  It was a wonderful story, and well told.  The pictures of the Italian countryside were breathtaking, and added so much to the thread.
