Help to install quiver inserts in PSR

I would like to install quiver inserts in my PSR. So I like to know if anyone could send me a pic of a PSR or a PL so I can copy the location of the inserts. I asked BW for a price but I may do it myself. If you can send a pic I would greatly appreciate it. [email protected]

BW used to do it for free if you're the original owner. They have to be installed on the little flat area at each end of the riser, preferably in the black but as far from the fadeout as you can be and still have it in the flat area.

One more thing, get the inserts Widow uses. They are solid brass, easy to install and do not have a hole all the way through so there is no chance of going too deep with the bolt and causing the insert to back out.

Speaking from experience ::Warning it is real easy to screw this up. First you need a drill bit made for wood. A regular bit can grab and yank the bow around. It is best to use a drill press. Also if you drill too small of a hole trying to have a snug fit for the insert. Then find out the insert will not go completely down as you try to remove it can bust the wood out around the top of the hole.
It can be done but there is a risk, you may want to consider sending  it to BW since this bow is not real beefy with wood, where you are going to but the inserts.

For me I always preferred a strap type mount quiver like a Thunderhorn,GN and others like these.

I got these 2 to do myself on two A risers asap and would suggest what ever bushing you use or whom ever you choose to purchase them from make sure to put some masking tape over the wood where your going to drill to keep it from chipping or spliting(not good).I'd also make a dry run a couple times and make sure everything is where you want it before actual drilling starts.I'd also try and keep your bow as level as possible even using a level if need be before drilling...As for the bushings themself eather way press in or screw in both work fine for me bd

Thanks for all the input. Black Widow did reply and said they would do it for free if I just pay shipping, and I am not the original owner, certainly great customer service.  I am a DIY type guy and feel I have the skills (or ignorance) to give it a try.

If you do it yourself, I highly recommend using a drill press and a  new  brad-point drill bit. Do a dry run on a piece of scrap wood, helps you get a feel for it. The drill press will help form a nice precise clean hole of the right depth (assuming it has a depth adjustment) Good luck to you!
